Zhejiang Paper Industry Association was established on December 30, 1989. It is a voluntary social group composed of production, scientific research, design, machinery manufacturing, chemical additives and other related units in the paper industry in Zhejiang Province. At present, there are more than 160 member units, which account for more than 70% of the output value, output, tax and profit of the papermaking enterprises in the province.

The association gathers the power of the industry to do industry affairs, persists in serving the government and industry, actively safeguards the legitimate rights and interests of the industry and its members, and promotes the development of the industry. The board of directors has established 4 professional committees to take charge of counterpart work, namely: the Science and Technology Consulting Service Center, the Editorial Working Committee, the Academic Working Committee, and the Organizational Working Committee. Each committee has gathered relevant experts and professors in the province. This association and the Zhejiang Paper Association jointly have the "Zhejiang Paper" journal, which is used for academic research, technical exchanges in papermaking and related fields, and industry trends.

The association is mainly engaged in the following tasks, serving enterprises, service industries, and serving the government, fully embodying the role of the association as a bridge and link between the government and enterprises and institutions. Provide more comprehensive and thoughtful services for the papermaking industry in the province, and strengthen the service and coordination capabilities of the association. Under the guidance of the national industrial revitalization plan, the association will actively do a good job in corporate services and transformation and upgrading, strengthen the province's paper-making enterprises, do a good job in energy conservation, emission reduction, and clean production, and become a green industry with a sense of social responsibility and sustainable development.
